Nel suo intervento al World Economic Forum di Davos, il Presidente Trump ha adottato toni particolarmente duri. Il quadro \u00e8 per\u00f2 cambiato mercoled\u00ec, con l\u2019annuncio di un\u2019intesa con la NATO sulla cooperazione nell\u2019Artico: un segnale che, di fatto, ha archiviato l\u2019ipotesi di dazi nei confronti dei Paesi europei ventilata in precedenza. In un contesto in cui la tenuta della coesione NATO \u00e8 stata oggetto di crescenti interrogativi, la svolta rappresenta una de-escalation rilevante. Il ritorno a una logica cooperativa sull\u2019Artico contribuisce a stabilizzare le relazioni transatlantiche, riduce i rischi di coda legati a eventuali ritorsioni commerciali e suggerisce un\u2019impostazione statunitense pi\u00f9 pragmatica verso l\u2019Europa sui temi strategici e di sicurezza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>Giappone \u2013 Duration, politica fiscale ed elezioni<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La scorsa settimana il mercato dei JGB \u00e8 stato un catalizzatore importante del sell-off globale sulla duration. Dopo un\u2019asta ventennale lievemente sottotono, il tratto lungo della curva ha visto un rialzo deciso dei rendimenti, con un sell-off marcato. Il cosiddetto \u201cTakaichi trade\u201d continua a dominare, sostenuto dall\u2019annuncio di elezioni anticipate l\u20198 febbraio e dal rafforzarsi delle aspettative di tagli alla consumption tax e di nuovo stimolo fiscale. Con banche e assicurazioni giapponesi venditrici nette di duration, un cambio di passo nei flussi potrebbe generare un\u2019inversione rapida e significativa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Venerd\u00ec la Bank of Japan ha lasciato i tassi invariati, ma con una comunicazione leggermente pi\u00f9 \u201chawkish\u201d. Coerentemente, il forward swap 1y1y \u00e8 salito di circa 4 pb, portandosi in area 1,5%. Sul mercato valutario lo yen si \u00e8 inizialmente rafforzato in modo brusco, per poi indebolirsi nettamente nel corso della seduta, in un movimento che il mercato ha interpretato come compatibile con un possibile intervento sul cambio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>FED \u2013 Nessuna fretta di tagliare<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Questa settimana la Federal Reserve dovrebbe mantenere i tassi invariati. Con le pressioni inflazionistiche al momento sotto controllo e consumi e crescita ancora resilienti, la Fed ha pochi incentivi a modificare l\u2019orientamento di politica monetaria e pu\u00f2 permettersi di attendere segnali pi\u00f9 chiari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il mercato continua a prezzare con prudenza un primo taglio non prima di giugno. Nella seconda met\u00e0 del semestre resta inoltre elevato il premio di incertezza legato all\u2019avvicendamento del nuovo Fed Chair, che riflette dubbi sulla futura funzione di reazione e sul grado di convergenza all\u2019interno del FOMC.
