Dimitrios Karadimos

Dimitri joined Algebris as a Risk manager in 2019 and took on the role of Chief Risk Officer in April 2024. His primary focus has been on developing the firm’s liquidity monitoring capabilities, operational risk framework and, more recently, on establishing and furthering the ESG risk monitoring function.

Prior to joining Algebris, he spent 15 years at a London-based hedge fund in various front office roles. He led the development of Equities and Futures Order Management Systems, developing Algorithmic trading as a Quantitative Developer. As a risk Manager, he oversaw technology risk and sat in the investment committee reviewing signal generation in systematic strategies. Before this, he held various software engineering roles in telecommunications and logistics.

Dimitri holds an MEng degree in Electrical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh and a Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF).
