Many commentators have defined the European Council’s deal on the Recovery Fund a historic milestone for European integration.
Massimiliano Grillo, Algebris Investments’ Sales Director for Italy, interviewed Silvia Merler, Head of Research at the Algebris Policy & Research Forum to shed light on the key points of this widely debated agreement.
This is indeed a path we still need to tread, both in view of a conciliation between the European Council and the European Parliament, which is not completely in line with the agreement, and for the Member States themselves, which will have to draw up their own National Expenditure Plans. In any case, this is without any doubts an important achievement for Italy too.
