Anna Crompton

Anna joined Algebris as Group General Counsel in 2016. After graduating with a law degree from Cambridge University in 2006, Anna joined leading law firm Allen & Overy LLP, where she trained and qualified as a solicitor into the corporate department in 2009. During her time there she focused on M&A and ECM and completed two secondments at Barclays Capital and Lloyds Banking Group. Prior to joining Algebris, Anna spent two years as Group Deputy General Counsel at Shore Capital, an independent investment group listed on AIM and specialising in asset management, principal finance and equity capital market activities.

Following her appointment as UK Deputy CEO in June 2026, Anna continues to serve as Group General Counsel, supporting the leadership and management of the UK business and overseeing key strategic, corporate development and governance initiatives across the Group. Prior to this role, Anna served as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel.
