Richard Watt

Rich is the UK Chief Operating Officer after being appointed to the position in 2026. He previously served as Global Head of Trading after joining Algebris in 2015. 

As UK COO, Rich is responsible for trading and investment operations, treasury, operations, product control and technology with responsibility for the continued development, scalability, and day-to-day execution of the firms operating platform. 

Previously as Global Head of Trading he was responsible for the trading of all assets across the globe along with the operational functions of the investment team. 

Prior to Algebris, he worked for JPMorgan in the global credit markets division, most recently in emerging markets credit and prior to that in securitised products. He worked in both London and New York having joined the company on the global markets graduate program

Rich lives in London with his family, he enjoys mountain biking, playing polo in the summer and skiing in the winter.
