Valerio Camerano

Valerio Camerano is Managing Director of Algebris Investments, where he leads a new Business Unit for alternative Private Equity and Venture Capital investments aimed at the energy and environmental transition. Valerio has come in to support the current asset classes managed by Algebris, with an initial focus on the Italian market, allowing for an interesting expansion of the company’s real assets investment strategies.

He has gained important experience in the infrastructure, energy and environmental industries. Valerio was CEO of the A2A Group from 2014 to 2020, he held similar roles for over 10 years in the Engie, Enel and Camuzzi Groups. Previously, he gained ten years of experience in the financial world at Citi.
Valerio graduated with honors in Economics, Financial Engineering and Corporate Finance from LUISS University. He carried out an Executive Program at INSEAD. He is passionate about photography, jazz, sailing and oenology.
